The Modern Household Needs A Home-Based Business

In the olden days of Walkman cassette players, brick-sized cell phones, and Commodore 64 computers, it would have been impossible to grow a money tree from the comfort (or chaos) of your own home. Fortunately, science has loosed you from the technological fetters of the past. You have all the tools required to concoct and establish a home-based business for your household.

Below you’ll find more than a few reasons to muster the motivation to grow your own money tree. Once you’ve scrounged up some entrepreneurial gumption, grab our free 6-Figure Business Hacks bundle by signing up for the MMT Mircle Growth Club! The bundle will quickly show you the pathway to a six-figure business while skipping you past the most injurious entrepreneurial mistakes.

Now, without further ado, Momma’s Money Tree presents why the modern household shouldn’t be without a home-based business.

  1. You will never be laid off from ownership of your home-based business. – Sure, you will eventually hire someone else to fill your role(s) in the business. However, the ownership and profit rights will remain yours – at least until you decide to sell them. Remember to say good-bye to ever being fully dependent on an employer again.
  2. Sick/Snow days don’t equal a lack of income. – True, you might experience a decrease in productivity, but because you follow MMT, your home business will be designed to continue income generation without your presence. So sip your chicken soup, pass the tissues, binge that miniseries with your fourteen-year-old, and enjoy being paid to get well.
  3. You take some pressure off of the primary breadwinner for the household. – Given enough time, you just might retire the primary breadwinner to working in the family business. How’s that for a change?
  4. You’ll diversify your retirement plan. – Rather than relying on a hollowed-out pension, temperamental equities portfolio, and so-so security, your retirement finances could be supplementally padded with a portion of the profits from your business venture. While your business may have started at home, there’s no reason that must stay there into your retirement years. If the business is properly structured, your management team could do the heavy lifting while your biggest chores are receiving regular updates and forcing yourself to laugh your way to the bank.
  5. You’ll end the cycle of financial illiteracy (for you and your family). – Why? Because to properly run your business, you’ll begin to learn basic bookkeeping. You’ll also start to understand the difference between income and profit. A business will teach you about cash flow generating assets and the importance of profit and loss statements.
  6. You’ll stop the cycle of living paycheck to paycheck. – Why? Because you can’t follow Momma’s Money Tree, learn the financial principles described in point #5, and keep spending more than you make. At some point, you will figure out how to get ahead of your finances, make surplus income through a side job or business, and escape the gravitational pull of the rat race. Congratulations!… and you’re welcome! (^_~)
  7. You’ll position yourself for income generation whenever and wherever you choose. – Thanks to the world wide web, we have arrived at a unique point in Earth’s history. You have the opportunity to serve the global community during whatever times suit you and your clients from any place with an internet connection. Is anyone up for videoconferencing from the beach?
  8. You’ll learn to delay gratification in favor of long-range strategy. – It’s not bright and shiny, but this one is just as important as every other point on this list. Name one capitalistic monolith of a corporation that wasn’t painstakingly strategized into existence. Always remember that there is a component of business that is monetary warfare. Don’t go into the fight unarmed.
  9. Position yourself to take advantage of future financial opportunities. – Money doesn’t buy happiness, but it can grant access to opportunities that you never dreamed possible. By stabilizing your financial standing and crafting a profitable business system, you provide the members of your household a chance to seize opportunities that they might have missed if those resources were not available.
  10. You’ll regain control of your financial future. – It won’t happen overnight, but small business teaches you the principles needed to take your financial freedom back. Momma’s Money Tree believes that freedom is something that every household should achieve.
